The Company Held the Annual Work Conference of 2025


  On February 27, the Company held the  Annual Work Conference of 2025. The Conference summarized and reviewed the Company’s work in 2024, analyzed the current domestic and international situation and challenges, made comprehensive arrangements for the goals and tasks for 2025, reached a consensus on the following action plans and priorities, and encouraged all cadres and employees to strengthen their confidence, overcome difficulties, and gather strength to promote high-quality development.

  Entrusted by Zhang Xiguo, the Company’s Chairman and Party Secretary, the Company’s Acting President Lin Xu delivered a summary speech and made a report on the work of the Company; Vice Presidents Suchart Phowatthanasathian, Li Ji and Haytham Zamzami delivered special reports respectively; General Managers and Deputy General Managers of departments, BTMs and employee representatives attended the Conference.

  Lin Xu pointed out that in 2024, facing the complex and changing grim situation and the unfavorable situation far beyond expectations, the whole Company upheld Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully acted on the guiding principles as laid out in the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th CPC Central Committee, implemented the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection of Shengli Oilfield and Sinopec Jiujiang Company. Under the correct leadership of its Party Committee, the whole Company followed the guidance of the campaign themed on “keeping in mind the entrustment, forging ahead with gratitude and promoting innovation-led development to build the first-class”, strengthened the role of Party building in providing guarantees, implemented the resolutions of the Board of Directors and work arrangements of OOP, forged ahead under pressure and with heavy burdens, embodied responsibility in solid work, and worked together to march forward regardless of hardship.

  He emphasized that 2025 marks the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the starting of the 15th Five-Year Plan. It is also the year for the Company to make every effort to turn losses into profits and reduce losses. Good performance for this year is of great significance to laying a solid industrial foundation and ushering in the “15th Five-Year Plan” period with a high morale.

  First, fully consolidate the foundation for safety and environmental protection. In this regard, people are the key factor. We must foster strong capabilities, develop sound habits, and set high standards to ensure continuous initiative of people. The intrinsic integrity of objects hinges on technological operations, equipment maintenance and repairs in the operating links. Effective operation of systems relies on execution supervision and enhanced compliace with its vitality kept.

  Second, take robust actions to fully turn losses into profits. To this end, we must stay focused on our goals, work hard on optimizing to improve profitability, take solid actions to snatch greater market share to make more profits, take concrete measures to reduce costs and increase benefits, and make breakthroughs in innovating to create benefits.

  Third, promote mutual integration to fully demonstrate the guidance of Party building. To this end, we must follow the overall guidance of strengthening the Party’s political development, promote central tasks as the enabler, work on the transformation of advantages, and improve the quality and effectiveness of Party building. We must intensify political leadership, strengthen primary-level construction, enhance integration and mutual promotion, and strengthen talent team building.

  At the Conference, Lin Xu delivered a work report entitled Effectively Improve Profit with Firm Confidence & Strong Ownership and Robustly Complete 2025 Objectives with All Efforts. He summarized and reviewed the Company’s performance in 2024, analyzed the problems and gaps in detail, and probed deep into the current business environment and operating situation facing the Company and clarified work priorities for 2025.

  He emphasized that 2025 will be an extremely challenging year for the Company. Faced with opportunities and challenges from the macroeconomic situation, the petrochemical industry, and within the Company, we must stay well prepared to deal with various difficulties and challenges, seize the initiative and create advantages in the grim and complex environment. We should continue to safeguard the redline, reinforce the bottomline, and sustain hse performance; focus on enhancing field management, sustain stable operation, and reinforce the reliability in new operation cycle; closely monitor the market, adjust structure and tap potential to fully optimize production & operation; continuously strive for margin improvement and cost reduction to win the battle for turning losses into profits; driving old units replacement/revamp and “liquid-to-chemical” conversion to strengthen the weaknesses; uphold talent cultivation & enhancing work conduct; take multiple measures to strengthen team building; demonstrate ownership for critical tasks and create positive working atmosphere for driving businesses forward; care for employees, strengthen support and address their needs, so as to build a closer community of shared future for the company and employees

  Vice Presidents Suchart Phowatthanasathian, Li Ji and Haytham Zamzami respectively delivered special reports on safety and reliability, quality & profitability improvement and development planning, and business and people management. 

  At the Conference, the FREP cultural model was communicated, and OOP issued the Department Targets to the heads of each department.

The Conference commended the advanced collectives and outstanding individuals awarded by OOP in 2024, and awarded 15 people including Chen Zhanli, Geng Bo, Xiao Liang, Tan Weilin, Li Wenbin, Zhao Chuan, Chen Weihuang, Lin Jianquan, Lu Yicheng, Xu Wenjie, Chen Dequan, Liang Shengyu, He Zhiqiang, Chen Junyu, and Zhang Pengfei as “Outstanding Individuals”, and awarded 5 people including Liu Huaxin, Hao Feng, Liu Nian, Zhan Zhixin, and Chen Xuedong the “Outstanding Employee Nomination Award”. Ten people including Li Shiying, Wang Pengjie, You Guoqiang, Wang Yaping, Yang Zhengxin, Huang Junkai, Cui Hongda, Zheng Xuetong, Chen Xiaojuan and Chen Sirong were awarded as “Outstanding Young Employees of the Year”; five teams including the TA/revamp management team, 2# APS/VPS energy-conservation revamp cross-functional team, aromatics low-temperature thermal utilization cross-functional team, special diesel production and sales cross-functional team, and Quangang-Gule collaborative procurement cross-functional team were awarded as “Outstanding Cross-Functional Team”; three shift teams including IGCC Shift Team No.1 under Utilities BT, Process Shift Team No.2 under EOEG BT, and Instrument Control Shift Team No.2 under Mechanical Department were awarded as “Outstanding Teams”; and Fire Brigade under HSE Department was awarded as “Outstanding Business Module”.

  During the Conference, the delegates were divided into five groups to discuss the ten key tasks for 2025. They offered their comments and suggestions and reported and shared the results of their discussions at the Conference. (Xiao Wanyuan  Zhang Lei)
